Technical specifications of the AAP-01 Tenebrae

The Tenebrae is a custom GBB AAP-01 designed for discretion. The Custom Lab BDUhas stripped the replica of all superfluous elements and meticulously crafted its iridescent black finish to ensure it remains unnoticed: minimal reflections, low mechanical noise, and a compact silhouette. Each part has been chosen to combine lightness and reliability.

Key components

CTM Tactical Advanced Bolt:CNC machined, iridescent black finish, it smoothens the cycle and reduces slide play for more consistent operation than the original bolt.

FUKU-2 skeleton Upper:High-end CNC machining in iridescent black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum. Its perforated structure significantly lightens the upper part of the replica while maintaining rigidity.

TTI Hammer Kit:Pre-assembled set (hammer, sear pin, disconnector) with a nitrided surface. It replaces the original hammer, a common breaking point for the AAP-01 — if you've experienced this problem, our article on broken hammersexplains its causes. What the upgrades provide

The CTM 200% nozzle spring and CTM 160% recoil spring are calibrated to work with the CTM bolt: crisp cycle, consistent pressure, clean slide return. Coupled with the tightly machined CTM bolt and FUKU-2 upper, they stabilize the trajectory and limit shot-to-shot deviation.

The FUKU-2 compensator disperses exhaust gases rather than projecting them forward. The matching magwell smooths magazine insertion, without snagging or contact noise.

Maximum discretion: designed to go unnoticed

The Tenebrae plays the iridescent all-black card. Rather than reflecting light like a glossy finish, its treatment diffuses it, making it less detectable in dark environments or indoors.

Its minimalist architecture, with no rails or protruding accessories, limits snags and mechanical noise. With the matching magwell, magazine changes remain smooth and silent—a real advantage in close quarters.

TTI Hammer kit: reliability above all else

The original hammer of the AAP-01 is its weak point: as soon as reinforced springs are installed, it eventually breaks. The TTI kit replaces it with a pre-assembled metal set (hammer, sear pin, disconnector), with a wear-resistant nitrided surface.

Pre-assembled and tested, it avoids break-in and unpleasant surprises during games. On a build that's running at 200%, this is the upgrade that transforms a fragile replica into a reliable platform, session after session.

Upper FUKU-2: lightweight and precise

The upper FUKU-2 skeleton is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum to tight tolerances. Its openwork structure significantly lightens the top of the replica while maintaining the rigidity necessary for consistent shooting.

This precise fit, combined with the CTM bolt and Maple Leaf 60° hop-up bucking, promotes a stable trajectory and repeatable groupings. Less weight also means less fatigue and faster transitions during long sessions.
