What the workshop prepares on a custom Hi-Capa
Every replica goes through the same sequence: complete disassembly, replacement of critical parts, hop-up adjustment, followed by a chrono test and feeding test. The original parts replaced are returned to you with the replica. Depending on the preparation level, the work focuses on:
- High-density 60° hop-up buckingand precision inner barrel: from the SLEEPER model onwards. On the PRO, the bucking is matched to the barrel.
- CNC hop-up chamber: fine adjustment that stays set during games, from the SLEEPER PLUS onwards.
- Reinforced nozzle and springs: consistent cycling, from the SLEEPER PLUS onwards.
- Adjustable trigger and textured grips: a trigger pull adjusted in the workshop and a firm grip, from the SLEEPER PLUS onwards.
- Reinforced hammer and slide guide: on the SLEEPER PRO.
- M4 magazine adapter for HPA: on the SLEEPER PRO, line and regulator optional.
Hi-Capa 5.1 or 4.3: which format to choose?
The Hi-Capa 5.1, with its longer barrel, is the most versatile outdoors and the most accurate at a distance. The 4.3, being shorter, draws faster from the holster and is easier to handle in CQB or as a sidearm. The workshop preparation is the same for both formats. To learn more, see the detailed comparison of the two formats.
Why a Tokyo Marui base?
The Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa is the benchmark for the format: most upgrade parts are designed to its specifications, and its factory tolerances remain consistent from one unit to the next. This is what makes it possible to achieve the same result from one replica to another.

Frequently asked questions about custom Hi-Capas
What is the difference between a stock Hi-Capa and a custom Hi-Capa?
A stock replica is tuned for general-purpose use. A custom Hi-Capa replaces the parts that dictate consistency—bucking, hop-up, barrel, and hammer assembly—and then tunes the entire setup via chronograph. The improvement is primarily in shot-to-shot consistency, not raw power.
Is a custom Hi-Capa delivered ready to play?
Yes. The replica arrives assembled, adjusted, and chrono-tested: all that remains is to fill the magazine with gas and BBs.
How do you maintain a custom Hi-Capa?
Two to three drops of silicone oil in the magazine valve after each game, silicone grease on the slide rails, and regular barrel cleaning. Store magazines with a small amount of gas to preserve the seals. All the details are in Hi-Capa maintenance.
Is a custom Hi-Capa suitable for speedsoft?
Yes, the Hi-Capa is the historical platform for speedsoft. The adjustable trigger and reinforced cycle of the SLEEPER PLUS make the difference in rapid engagement; the SLEEPER PRO adds HPA feeding via an M4 magazine.
