Mathias Dauverchain - Custom Lab BDU Airsoft
I'm Mathias Dauverchain. I founded BDU Airsoft and I build the replicas at the Custom Lab. The guides published on this site come from what I observe at the workbench, not copied product sheets.

What I actually do
I prepare GBB replicas by hand, mainly AAP-01s, AAP-01Cs, and Hi-Capas. Each build goes through the same sequence: selection and inspection of parts one by one, assembly with a torque meter, a mechanical break-in of 600 cycles, and finally, chrono validation before shipment. It is this protocol that allows for a ballistic consistency of ±2 FPS on builds leaving the workshop.
The workshop has been running since 2026. The range now includes over fifteen different configurations, from internal upgrade packs to complete, ready-to-play builds.
What I write about
- GBB Mechanics: hop-up, inner barrel, bucking, nozzle springs, steel hammer, adjustable trigger, HPA conversion
- Troubleshooting: gas venting, jammed nozzle, broken hammer, involuntary full-auto fire, feeding issues
- Camouflage: ghillie suits, DIY construction, adaptation to terrain and season
- Tactical Gear: plate carriers, chest rigs, helmets, Russian gear
Why these guides exist
Most of the repairs I receive in the workshop stem from the same causes, and most could have been avoided. I write these guides so players can diagnose issues themselves before sending in a replica, and to document what actually works rather than what is said on forums.
When I provide a figure, it comes from a workshop measurement or a verified customer report. When I don't know, I say so.
