AAP-01 Speedsoft: lightweight bolt, short stroke, and 40+ rounds per second

All builds in the range focus on the line of fire. This is the only one that touches the cycling mechanism. It starts with the complete mechanics of the Integral Edition — rotary hop-up block, 60° bucking, 6.03 barrel, steel hammer, tuned trigger — and adds the lightweight slide assembly, matched springs, and short stroke. Velocity and grouping remain unchanged: it is the time between shots that changes.

The set that changes the rate of fire

Three parts, and they cannot be separated. The lightweight slidereduces the mass to be moved and then stopped with each shot. The recoil and nozzle springs are recalibrated for this lower mass, otherwise the slide would return too slowly or too harshly. Finally, the short stroke kit shortens the travel, which eliminates unnecessary distance. The result measured by chronograph on the assembled build is over 40 BBs per second, compared to 22 on the other configurations in the range.

The short stroke is a gift, not a product for sale

It is installed and included in the price, and it does not appear in any shop options. The reason is simple: when mounted on a stock slide, it is useless and actually degrades performance. It only makes sense when paired with the lightweight slide, so it is supplied with it rather than offered separately. This also ensures that it is installed by the workshop, with the pneumatic adjustment redone afterward.

Why this build is the only one to receive springs

A reinforced recoil spring is used to compensate for reduced mass. On a stock slide, the mass is not reduced: the original spring is already correctly matched, and replacing it with a stiffer one only requires more pressure to complete the cycle — which degrades reliability in cold weather or at the end of a magazine. This is why neither the Integral Edition, nor the Carbine, nor the Precision receive them. Many configurations sold elsewhere stack reinforced springs without a lightweight slide: it is an add-on that is easy to charge for but serves no purpose.

Moving mass: the lightweight bolt

Shortened travel: the short-stroke kit

The short stroke kitlimits the rearward travel of the bolt carrier to what is strictly necessary to cock and reload. All the extra travel provided as standard is time lost between shots, and energy spent moving a mass without doing anything with it. By shortening this travel, you directly reduce the cycle time, and you also reduce gas consumption per shot. This is the second half of the work started by the lightweight bolt carrier: one reduces the mass, the other reduces the distance. The kit is installed in the workshop and included in the price of the build, because it is pointless without the bolt carrier that accompanies it — mounted on a stock bolt carrier, it causes incomplete feeding.

What this build does not do

It doesn't shoot any harder, further, or more accurately than the Integral Edition. Velocity remains set at 330 FPS with 0.20g BBs, because power is limited by field regulations rather than the equipment, and the grouping remains what the firing line produces: 15 centimeters at 55 meters. This build buys you one thing: time between shots. It also consumes more gas for the same volume of fire, simply because it shoots more BBs in the same amount of time, and it requires more frequent maintenance of the slide rails. If rate of fire isn't what you're looking for, the Integral Edition delivers the same ballistics for significantly less money.
