The Airsoft Mask Anti-Fog Unit features universal Velcro attachment, but "universal" doesn't mean "identical across all models." Depending on the shape of your face protection, installation and results may vary. Here are the criteria to check for optimal compatibility.
The criteria that really matter

- Available flat surface: Velcro holds better on a flat area of at least 3-4 cm². Hard-shell masks generally offer more usable surface than thin goggles.
- Position relative to field of vision: The unit must be able to be placed on the side or bottom of the visor without obstructing the view or interfering with a helmet worn over it.
- Visor type: Single or double glazed, the unit works in both cases, but the effect is even more noticeable on a single glazed visor, which is more prone to temperature differences.
- Helmet compatibility: If you wear a tactical helmet over it, check that the unit does not hit the edge of the helmet once positioned.
Full-face shell masks

Full-face protection masks (grill type or rigid shell with visor) offer the most flat surface for Velcro attachment, generally on the side of the frame. This is the simplest configuration for installing the unit, and the one that benefits most from active ventilation since the enclosed space under a full mask retains more moisture than a pair of goggles open at the sides.
Wrap-around tactical goggles
Wrap-around tactical goggles, such as those compatible with our GIGN/SWAT visor, offer less flat surface but remain compatible with the unit, generally attached to the side arm or top of the frame. The anti-fog effect is slightly less confined than on a full mask, which is consistent with a use more oriented towards speed and lightness.
Combination with a tactical helmet
If you already wear a helmet from our collection of tactical airsoft helmets, remember to test the complete assembly (helmet + mask + unit) before your game rather than on the day itself. Some highly covering shell helmets may rub against a misplaced unit; an adjustment of a few centimeters is usually enough to solve the problem.
Indicative compatibility table
| Protection type | Attachment surface | Ease of installation |
|---|---|---|
| Full-face shell mask | Large, flat | Very easy |
| Grill mask + attached visor | Medium, on the frame | Easy |
| Wrap-around tactical goggles | Reduced, on the arm | Correct, adjustment sometimes necessary |
| Thin shooting glasses | Very reduced | Highly model-dependent |
In summary
The larger and flatter the attachment surface, the simpler the installation and the more reliable the hold over time. When in doubt, prefer a dry run before your next game rather than discovering it on the field. Find the Airsoft Mask Anti-Fog Unit (€33.99) and all of our compatible tactical helmets and protection.
