CHARACTERISTICS OF ARTIFICIAL LEAF GARLAND

The Artificial Leaf Ribbon is a ready-to-use artificial vegetation solution for ghillie suits, compatible with our entire airsoft ghillie suit range.

Composition: 100% natural hemp rope and polyester leaves.
Format: 5 linear meter roll.
Colorimetry: Khaki, black, brown, white, dark brown, beige.
Applications: DIY tactical camouflage, optics covering, long replica concealment.
Technical sources: ISO textile standard and Mechanical properties of fibers.

3D CAMOUFLAGE MODULE PERFORMANCE

The use of a 3D camouflage module is imperative to break up the straight lines of tactical equipment. This synthetic forest foliage offers real depth of field, unlike classic 2D prints. It allows any basic netting to be transformed into a piece of forest camouflage equipment for snipers capable of deceiving opposing reconnaissance optics.

BDU EXPERT SELECTION FOR DIY TACTICAL CAMOUFLAGE

BDU selects this braided ribbon for camouflage suits for its ability to retain its volume without weighing down the suit. This material is the standard for realistic sniper camouflage materials. To achieve a professional result, this ribbon must be coupled with a structured airsoft ghillie suit base, thus avoiding any glare under direct sunlight.

VISUAL REALISM AND SILHOUETTING

The helical structure of the braid allows for a sinuous application onto equipment, faithfully replicating the growth patterns of woody climbing plants. This configuration is a critical step in understanding how to make an airsoft ghillie suit that avoids looking like a uniform mass of textile. By alternating the ribbon's placement over the body's natural shadow zones (shoulders, back), you create a depth effect that "erases" the human silhouette. The contrast between the matte jute and the satin sheen of the leaves perfectly simulates the appearance of wild vegetation under various lighting angles.

MECHANICAL STRENGTH AND DURABILITY

The selected hemp braid offers a nominal tensile strength of 15kg, an essential feature for withstanding the stresses of crawling phases. Unlike solutions based on fragile glues, the through-weave of the leaves ensures they won't tear off when encountering brambles or dense branches. This synthetic forest foliage retains its structural properties even after prolonged immersion in a humid environment, thus avoiding the visual matting effect common with low-quality camouflages. It is a durable component for any intensive forest camouflage equipment for snipers.
